This report is a case study conducted by the Voluntary Sector Working Group of Canada’s Platform for DRR. It examines volunteer engagement and mobilization in light of the 2013 Alberta flood response. In addition to the specific conditions related to the flood, the report looks into policy, operational and societal trends that currently influence the readiness and surge capacity of the Canadian Voluntary Sector operating in emergency management.”
