Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of Conduct for Emergency Management Professionals”. This code is the result of a collaborative project organized by the FEMA Ethics Working Group (https://training.fema.gov/hiedu/specialinterest/eemsig.aspx). The working group was comprised of a diverse group of academics and professionals, all of whom donated large amounts of their time to this project. The code has gone through a public review and revision process. It is intended to be a living document that will evolve over time, and will a critical component of the EM professionalization process. Thus far it has been adopted by The Salvation Army and we are hoping that it will be broadly adopted within the profession.
