The CRHNet Symposium Bursary is awarded to a deserving individual, (with a preference for students and emerging professionals), from across Canada to help reduce the costs associated with attending the CRHNet Symposium. The bursary is intended to encourage and promote ongoing learning, participation, and the sharing of research contributions/innovative ideas to the field of Canadian disaster risk management.
This year’s award has been generously donated by the Pearce Family to support the attendance and participation of one deserving individual.
Award: Symposium registration fee for one person.
Eligibility: Anyone attending the symposium may submit a nomination for themselves or others, there is no requirement to be a CRHNet member to be eligible for this award.
Deadline: April 14, 2026
Selection: All nomination packages will be adjudicated by the CRHNet Awards Committee. Preference will be given to those students, and emerging professionals, who are planning on presenting at the Symposium.
Award Notification: While we thank all applicants for their interest in this award, only successful candidates will be notified of the award decision.
