Why should I post my job position on the CRHNet Job Board?

The CRHNet job board is the only national, online job board curated specifically to the field of disaster and emergency management, disaster risk reduction, and business continuity. The CRHNet Job board serves as a centralized platform for emergency managers, and closely related professionals, to access job postings across Canada. Sharing a job on the job board means that you get more applications from highly qualified jobseekers in the field.

Where can I share my volunteer position?

CRHNet has multiple spaces for which it is appropriate and encouraged to share volunteer positions. The CRHNet Emerging Professional (EP) Committee is always looking for volunteer roles within the field of Disaster and Emergency Management to share in the EP Newsletter, send an email to ep@crhnet.ca. We also encourage you to share your position on the CRHNet EP Discord server to connect directly with EPs and professionals in the field!

What types of job postings can be shared on the CRHNet Job Board?

There are a number of criteria that the Job Board moderator will use to determine if your job posting is an appropriate fit for the CRHNet Job Board. This includes, the following: 

  • The posting must clearly state a requirement for either education and/or experience in disaster and emergency management/preparedness, emergency social services, disaster risk reduction and/or business continuity. Related careers may be considered on a case by case basis. 
  • The role should clearly describe an emergency management role rather than a first responder role. Positions such as 911 Dispatch, are not considered an emergency management role and will not be shared on the job board at this time. 
  • The position should last a minimum of 6 weeks. Positions shorter than 6 weeks may be considered on a case by case basis. 
  • The position must be compensated financially. The CRHNet Job board is not able to share volunteer positions. Unpaid internship type may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
What does it cost to share my job posting on the CRHNet Job Board?

The price to post a job on the CRHNet job board is based on your membership status: 

  • Individual members: $25CAD
  • Organizational members: Free
  • Non-members: $50 CAD

If your job posting is not an appropriate listing for the CRHNet Job Board your fee will be refunded.

How can I share my job posting on the CRHNet Job Board?

How can I renew my job posting on the CRHNet Job Board?

Listings on the Job Board expire after 30 days in order to support the management of the Job Board. If your listing expires while you are still hiring, you can renew your job posting for free by contacting info@crhnet.ca
